THE TRIUMPHANT RETURN OF SCOOTER'S DIVAS: Boredlizzie Kicks Ass!

Once again I show off my questionable skills at the dubious art of "Divolution", that is, making WWE Divas on the PS3 for the game Smackdown vs. Raw 2010 (and now, 2011) out of my friends and readers.

Todays victim: TTOS contributor Boredlizzie! Let's take a quick look at "un-Divolved" Lizzie for reference:

Adorable, yes? AND a fellow Topless Robot t-shirt winner, which means this lovely photo shall be enshrined for all time in the TTOS "We Are The Champions" gallery (just check the page list on the left sidebar)


So, now that we've all met Lizzie, join me after the jump, and get to know her ass-kicking, name-taking doppleganger.




Mr. Atreides


We start with my attempt at a Steampunk ensemble. Unfortunately, what I ended up with using the clothing and accessory options available more closely resembles a biker or a rather funky airplane pilot. This is the Entrance Attire:

And this is the Ring Attire:

Next, Lizzie wanted me to take a stab at the DC Comics heroine Zatanna...While I couldn't be exact, I think I did a fair job capturing the basic "sexy magician" look. (the glasses were my idea, btw)

Next we have an ensemble of my own design. I call it simply: "Fallen". The concept is what would you have if an Angel was being corrupted into a Demon--but somehow stopped halfway there? As far as original costumes go, this is one of my favorites.

Also: Black halos are cool!

And for the grand finale: Lizzie asked me to attempt to style her Diva in the manner of the magnificent Dr. Harleen Quinzel...That's right--Harley Quinn!

Fortunately, the version of Harley she requested was the one from the Arkham Asylum video game--I couldn't have done a thing with the traditional Jester's outfit ensemble.

Anyway, I thought she came out ok--Unfortunately, the game wouldn't allow me to make her boots red and blue. I had to pick one.

SCOOTER'S DIVAS: SCOUT--THE NEW 2011 MODEL!

What's goin' down?

But right now, I'm honored to present the newest addition to the ranks of Scooter's Divas: longtime TTOS regular Scout!(Topless Roboteers may recognize her as that untypable "9" symbol)


Her Diva is special for two important reasons:

1. She's the first Diva I've made using the new Smackdown vs. Raw 2011.

2. I'm not really one for bragging, but she's not only the newest of Scooter's Divas--she's also Scooter's Girl!<3 (pause for long "awwwwww")


Now before I introduce her, I wanna take a moment to grouse about the new game. When games such as this are updated, why do the designers feel the need to completely revamp the controls? It's essentially the same game--it looks better, and has some more options, but it's still wrestlers wrestling!

You waste hours on a game learning the controls to the point that you can execute the most complex moves blindfolded, and they come out with basically the same game with a new paint job, AND YOU HAVE TO START ALL THE FUCK OVER AGAIN!

Granted, a lot of the controls are the same or similar to the old game, but that only makes it worse--I keep playing as though I know what I'm doing, and for a little while it works...Then all of a sudden, the buttons I'm pressing aren't doing what I've conditioned myself to believe they should do!

Pisses me off--must these people fix what ain't broken?


Ok, back to the show!

Here's my Scout pre-Divolution:

This time I picked the outfits rather than taking requests--I'll have more pics of this one later, I tried doing this one with pink skin, but it photographed badly. So I'm left with only one serviceable pic after I went back to human skin tones. Ladies and gentlemen: the Succubus!

Next is an old favorite--the cat suit! Unfortunately, all they have is ears, no tails. Feast your eyes:

Next is something I came up with pretty much out of the blue--in nerd terms, imagine a cross between Harley Quinn and Zatanna:

And finally, another classic--the S&M Leather Girl. This one, frankly, disappointed me somewhat. Oh, she looks great, but a lot of the options which would have made this outfit ten times sexier were removed from this version of the game. Oh well.

Scout asked for the eyepatch--no idea why, but I aim to please! :)


And finally, here's her entrance vid. Sound is for shit, so you'll have to crank it up a bit. Eventually I'll have a match vid like I do for the others, I just have to figure out how to make one with the new game.

Scoot, Scooter, Scootest!

ROBBIE DIVOLVED: MY ARMY GROWS!

Once again, a faithful SOHB reader has granted me permission to transform her into a kickass WWE Digital Diva!(mark this day--it's likely the last time you'll see the initials "SOHB" used here)


This one's been a long time in the works. Those of you not amongst the ranks of the Superfriends, or who don't post on Topless Robot, probably don't know our Robbie very well. She is listed under "THOSE RESPONSIBLE" as a contributing author--but she's also a grad student working on her dissertation, and a full-time teacher. Ergo, she hasn't yet been able to share anything with us--we all eagerly await her contribution to my little blog.

So, for those amongst you who haven't had the pleasure--meet Roberta Leopoldino:

She's a very lovely girl--but a bit shy. I was granted the honor of a better picture(which is now my cell phone wallpaper), but I'll respect her modesty(though it baffles me) and stick with this one from her Blogger Profile. I'd rather not make the assumption that the pic I was sent was intended for public display(besides, she's got the same hairdo in this pic as I gave her Diva).


Robbie was technically the very first Superfriend--the first TR poster that I began corresponding with outside of that website, months before my blog became Topless Robot's de facto chat satellite. She was also one of the first people to sign up as a Follower. I don't think there's a single regular who's been with me as long as she has.

As I mentioned, she's a grad student and teacher. She studies English Literature and teaches English as a second language in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil--and works harder than any sane human should.

She is, of course, a Nerd of the highest order--getting to know her has actually made me appreciate being an American Nerd: So many geek essentials we take for granted here are either completely unavailable, or exceedingly rare in Brazil.

Bottom line: She's a brilliant, charming, and beautiful person--and I am a better man for knowing her.





Ok--I've embarrassed her enough: On with the Divolution!



Robbie's Diva is unique. The other two represent my attempt to approximate the requests of my subjects--Coleen and Joltess picked their own costumes, and I did my best to recreate them within the limits of Smackdown Vs. Raw 2010.

In Robbie's case, she granted me leave to choose her costumes--so this is all my creation, both in concept and execution. There is one exception--a Diva can have up to 4 outfits, and I was stumped on the last one. So I put the question to the assembled Superfriends, and dear Myriam made us all look like fools by suggesting the classic Hot Librarian. Everyone chatting that night felt like grade A morons. I mean really--what else do you give an English Lit scholar?

Oh, and for her Diva, I've decided to use the Portuguese diminutive of Roberta: "Beta". Not only have I always liked the sound of it, it also works very well as a Diva name, what with the long and illustrious roster of famous Divas with single names ending in "A": Lita, Layla, Chyna, Natalya, Melina, Maria, etc.


I'll start with the first outfit I made--it's pretty simple, in fact, it wouldn't be out of place at an actual match. All that really sets it apart is the Brazilian color scheme of yellow and green(I'dve put a flag on it--but Brazilian flags were not an available option)

Next is your basic Goth chick ensemble--you could probably find most of the pieces of this outfit at your local Hot Topic.

I had trouble with the third outfit. Robbie's something of an Anime fan, and even though it's not my scene, I live to serve the patrons of my Art.

Originally I made a Japanese schoolgirl-type costume, but it frankly bored me--it's been done to death, even by me on some of my original creations. So instead I went more of the warrior/martial artist route--and I'm rather proud of what I came up with: I call it "The Red Dragon"

This also will be the outfit featured in the video below.



Finally, we have the aforementioned Librarian:

But that's just the entrance attire--who'd want to wrestle in a pleated skirt and blazer? It'd be hot and constrictive, right? Fortunately, she's got this on underneath(and I swear--I was merely thinking of convenience and comfort here, no other considerations whatsoever!  ;) )

Oh, I almost forgot--one other thing this game allows you to do is create your own custom-made finishing moves, so I made one for Colleen, Joltess, and Robbie(I'll have videos for the other two soon).

So, let's start with the Bad News:

The newly opened Cathedral of Yaya will be closed until further notice.


See, I was checking out the Holy Yaya's website, and I took a look at the FAQ page: Yaya requests that individals who wish to use her images on their websites first send her an email. She just wants to know where her photos are going--perfectly reasonable.

Have I sinned against Yaya by setting up the Cathedral without her approval?

I don't think so--mine was an act of ignorance, not malice. I trust Yaya will forgive.


I keep wondering what it would be like if a Priest found a passage in the bible requiring that anyone who wished to establish a house of worship first ask for and then receive the direct permission of the Lord God of Hosts.

Well, as a follower of the Holy Yaya, I have a leg up on this hypothetical clergyman--my Deity has a Yahoo! Mail account.

Advantage: Yaya!



Anyway, I sent a reverent, respectful message requesting pemission to reopen the Cathedral--I have no doubt that Yaya's wisdom will prevail.
